"Turning limitations into innovation, one line of code at a time"
Discover My Journey Get In Touch Connect on LinkedInA refugee-turned-tech leader empowering the next generation through code and innovation
I am Jospin Amisi, a passionate software developer, data scientist, and educator based in the Dzaleka Refugee Camp in Malawi. Despite the challenges of my environment, I've transformed limitations into opportunities, building a thriving tech ecosystem within one of Africa's largest refugee camps.
In 2020-2021, I was selected for the prestigious MIT Refugee Action Hub (ReACT) Certificate Program in Computer and Data Science. This transformative experience not only honed my technical skills but inspired me to give back to my community.
Today, I lead ADAI Circle – an organization I co-founded that provides mentorship, education, and innovation pathways for talented youth in the camp. We've created annual hackathons modeled after MIT Bootcamps, fostering job creation through technology.
When I'm not coding, I'm teaching programming to aspiring developers, playing strategy games, or connecting with global tech communities to bring new opportunities to Dzaleka.
